Why an Author Should Publish To Kindle

Are you a writer who just cannot find a publisher? Are you a How-To writer who wants to earn lifelong royalties instead of selling your expert knowledge for a few dollars? Are you a short story writer who just cannot get his work published because publishers want thick, fat books? Well, Kindle is the place that can help you achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. Here’s why an author must publish on Kindle:

1. The Kindle offers a simple and easy self-publishing platform to all authors. You can upload content, format it, and publish it within the space of an hour or so. There is no red tape to go through. For example, if you have written a story and want it published as a paperback through a traditional publisher, you will have to send the manuscripts to the publisher who will get it reviewed, etc., and the back and forth process could spoil the fun of writing and publishing. Kindle is easy and instantaneous. It helps save time and it kills the waiting period.

2. The Kindle allows every enthusiastic writer to publish his book or short story. Authors can also publish as often as they like. Authors can even publish individual short stories on Kindle. You don’t have to wait till you finish a 300-pagefiction in fact; many authors are releasing more 50 page short stories these days.

3. The Kindle economy is amazing and growing. Kindle hosts more than a million titles and there are millions of users swarming all over the Kindle section at Amazon. Kindle’s sales grew by 177% in 2011 as compared to 2010 sales – 2012 promises to be much better. So, every creative author who can produce a compelling book has every chance of making it big on Kindle. No other publisher offers such a hot and willing marketplace.

4. Amazon is very generous with its royalties. Authors can opt for 35% or 70% royalty and receive a share from the Kindle Owners Book Lending Fund. Amazon is committed to contributing $6 million to this fund in 2012 and the fund will be paid to authors based on the number of times their book is borrowed as compared to the number of titles available on the Kindle store.

Publishing on Kindle can be very advantageous. It is free, fast and simple and allows authors to reach out to the market in just one click. It does not matter if you’re an author or a how to whitepaper writer – if you feel that your book can entertain and inform people, you can publish it on the Kindle.

Guest post by Joel M. Andre. Joel M. Andre was born January 13, 1981. At a young age he was fascinated with the written word. It was at fourteen that Poe blew his mind, and Andre began to dabble with darker poetry.

Between the years of 1999 and 2007 Joel was featured in various poetry anthologies and publications. In 2008 he released his first collection, Pray the Rain Never Ends.

Knowing there was something deeper and darker inside of his soul, Joel decided to take a stab at commercialism. Releasing the dark tongue in cheek, A Death at the North Pole, created a dark world among the death of Kris Kringle. Ultimately providing a tale of redemption.

October of 2008 saw Joel release his second book, Kill 4 Me. A tale in which a woman is haunted by a vengeful spirit through text messages and instant messaging.

Taking some time off and doing a lot of soul searching, Joel took things in a new direction and dabbled in the Fantasy Genre with, The Pentacle of Light. The tale dealing with five major races battling for control of Earth, and the acceptance of their God.

Finally, after missing his detective Lauren Bruni, he released the book The Return in October 2009, this time moving the action from the North Pole and placing it in the small Arizona community he was raised in.

Andre’s latest book is The Black Chronicles: Cry of the Fallen about a dead man who seeks revenge on the woman that tormented him in peaceful Northern Arizona.

Currently, he resides in Chandler, AZ.

  1. Some great advice. From his other interviews, he really seems genuine. I'll need to check out one of his books. Any recommendations?

  2. Truly, selling eBooks for the Amazon Kindle can and will help your Internet business to grow. You can simply upload your original work and publish it as an eBook to the Amazon Kindle store. You even have the ability to set the price and then watch the sales come in. Selling your content has never been so easy and neither has reaching additional, ingratiated customers. You should continue to market your online business and advertise your Amazon Kindle eBooks as often as possible.
